The Corporate team provides a broad range of corporate services to start up and established companies and managed investment schemes together with their professional advisers. Corporate transactions frequently require the services of other areas of expertise which is provided through the practitioners in the Corporate team and our other specialists, including those in our business law and taxation teams. This enables Argyle Lawyers Pty Ltd to provide a comprehensive service in respect of all stages of the negotiation and implementation of corporate transactions.

Specifically, our team is proficient in initial public offerings, backdoor listings and debt and equity raisings (including debenture issues, rights issues and private placements). We also assist with public and private company mergers, acquisitions and divestments which can involve acting for bidders and targets in takeovers. Our services include advising on corporate reorganisations whether by way of share buyback or other capital reduction.

We have a proficiency in the financial services area whose laws have recently been the subject of a major overhaul. Our involvement relates to the establishment and operation of managed investment schemes which includes advising on licensing, financial product regulation and compliance.

The corporate environment is becoming increasingly regulated and we are often required to advise on Corporations Act and ASX Listing Rule compliance issues together with Corporate Governance.
