Mark
Douglass, LLB, FTIA - Principal
Mark
is principal of the Tax Litigation team. With over 25 years experience
in all areas of tax, Mark is uniquely qualified to handle a broad range
of taxation matters.
Mark spent 10 years at the Australian Taxation Office moving through the
ranks from officer, taxation auditor, senior legal advisor to Assistant
Director. Mark gained extensive knowledge of the tax office's administrative
procedures and policies. This gives Mark a distinct advantage when dealing
with the Australian Taxation Office on client matters.
Prior to starting his own practice, Mark was head of the taxation and
superannuation division of a large Sydney based law firm.
Mark is committed to ongoing development of his expertise in tax law.
He has published numerous papers on taxation, litigation, procedures and
has lectured at organisations including the Tax Institute of Australia,
Institute of Chartered Accountants, Law Society of New South Wales and
the Business Law Education Centre.
