Andrew
Ireland is the principal of the Business and Corporate Law teams at Argyle
Lawyers. He has over 25 years experience as a commercial and corporate
lawyer. His areas of specialisation include mergers and acquisitions,
commercial law, corporate advice, financing transactions including preparation
of loan agreements, charges, mortgages, assignments of rental agreements
and guarantees.
Andrew's
practice has an emphasis on negotiations and managing complex corporate
structuring and asset acquisitions. In addition, he has acted as external
'in-house' counsel for a renewable energy company for over 4 years assisting
in relocating it to Singapore, managing its significant patent and trademark
portfolios, negotiating alliance arrangements and attracting internationally
recognised shareholders. He is known by his clients and peers as a problem
solver and a leader in the field providing high quality commercial advice
and providing 'hands on' assistance when necessary.
Andrew
is a member of various professional groups including Commercial Lawyers
Association, Australian corporate Lawyers Association, Business Law Section
of the Law Council of Australia, Licensing Executive Society of Australia
and New Zealand and Australian Institute of Company Directors. He was
formerly a taxation consultant at KPMG and regularly presents and writes
articles on topics relevant to his practice.
