James
Millea practices in the Business, Commercial and Corporate Teams.
James has over 30 years legal experience and has an interest in international
trade and Intellectual Property.
As part of his activities in the commercialisation of Intellectual Property
on behalf of clients, James is a member of the Licensing Executives Society
of Australia and New Zealand.
James is currently the Chairman of the Legal and Professional Services
Committee of the New South Wales Chapter of the Australia India Business
Council.
During his time as a lawyer James has had extensive experience acting
for a number of companies in international trade, resort development and
in the IT sector as well as completing complex Mergers and Acquisitions
and advising clients on competition and approval issues before the ACCC
and FIRB.
James is involved in general commercial work including the negotiation
and drafting of Trade Terms for international transactions, Confidentiality
Agreements, complex Service Level Agreements, (including Disaster Recovery
Plans), Software Licence & Maintenance Agreements, Development Agreements,
Distribution Agreements, Strategic Alliance Agreements as well as advice
on intellectual property rights such as Copyright, Design and Trademarks
and the Trade Practices Act.
